How do I sign up?

Is there a fee?
Yes, the fee for new individual members is $25 with a renewal fee is $20/year. We provide other forms of memberships to cater to all of your needs: Couple/Family memberships for $25+ $10/additional person per year, Non-profit memberships for $100/year, Business memberships for $150/year.
Does my membership expire?
Your membership will expire 1 year from the date you sign up. To renew your membership, simply pay the $20 renewal fee and you are good for another year!
Can my friend rent under my name?
No. We require each member to sign a waiver upon joining the tool library. For everyones safety we ask that only paying members who have completed a safety waiver rent our tools. Ask us about options for family memberships or business memberships.
I have a business. Can we all rent tools?
Yes. Upon signing up for the $150 Business Membership, we will ask you to provide a list of authorized renters under your account. We will require each authorized person to complete a waiver. Ask us about discounted rates for non-profits.
Can I reserve a tool?
Why yes, you can! With this website you will be able to reserve a tool and have ___ to pick up your reserved tool, as long as the item is available.
How long can I rent an item for?
You can rent a tool for as long as you need. We ask you to please be mindful that you are paying a daily rental fee for each rented item. Be considerate of others. if you’re NOT using it, bring it back!
How do I know when a tool I’m waiting for will be returned?
Because our customers are allowed to rent a tool for however long they need, it is difficult for us to let you know when an item will be returned. You can always check the status of an item on our website or give us a call and we’d be happy to let you know if it is back or not!
Is there someone there that can explain how to use a tool?
Our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing the best service to our customers. If we don’t know how to explain a tool, we will find someone who does!
Do I have to live in boulder to become a tool member?
